Which skills employers in Dushanbe look for
Technical skills open the door, but soft skills increasingly decide. How to figure out what to develop first.

The job market changes, but some skills are valued in almost any field. Let's split them into two groups — and both matter.
Technical skills
These depend on the profession, but employers most often look for:
- Digital literacy. Confident use of spreadsheets, documents and office tools.
- English. Even a basic level noticeably widens your choice of vacancies.
- Field-specific tools. Programming, design, accounting, marketing — whatever your area needs.
- Data analysis. Reading numbers and drawing conclusions is useful almost everywhere.
Soft skills
These are increasingly the deciding factor:
- Communication. Expressing ideas clearly, spoken and written.
- Reliability. Finishing what you start and meeting deadlines.
- Willingness to learn. Technology changes — picking up new things quickly matters.
- Teamwork. Listening to others and reaching agreement.
- Problem-solving. Staying composed when things don't go to plan.
How to decide what to develop
- Look at 10–15 vacancies you like and note the requirements that repeat.
- Compare them with your own skills and find the gaps.
- Pick one or two skills and build them through a concrete project.
How to show your skills
Listing them isn't enough — back each up with an example. "Worked in a team of five on a study project" is more convincing than the word "teamwork" on a CV.
A tip
Don't try to learn everything at once. One well-mastered skill is worth more than five you've merely "heard of".
